So I had a funny turn in 2010. Didn’t know what I wanted to do with work. So I experimented with carving up stacked birch ply to make mirrors. I used a grinder with a Arbortech blade to rough the shape in. Then a flap disc to smooth. Then an orbital sander to finish off. I then beeswaxed it all to create a nice finish. I’d love to do more of them if I had the time. I had a play with natural wood dies between layers also, looked pretty good.
I’m always open to a commission if anyone wants one?
